Abstract

The research aimed at identifying the current conditions relevant to the role of strategic plans of aquaculture in Sudan, through studies of strategic plans, identification of present aquaculture, the relation between strategic plans, product development capabilities, plans applied, laws, and policies in Sudan aquaculture.

To achieve such aims a number of hypotheses were tested through analysis of data collected from 405 people. Different statistical methods were implemented. The following results were  achieved:

1. Initiate integrated strategic aquaculture plans.
2. Follow up the strategic plans.
3. Establish the relation of the strategic planning and the level of performance and the department of fish aquaculture.
4. Sharing the staff in a team in the way of strategic plans in the Ministry of animal resources, fisheries, and range.

The study suggested the following:

1. Establish national strategic plans for fish culture.
2. Renew the laws and policies controlling fish culture.
3. Establish fish farms of specific purposes (research, production, illustration) for applying research (biology, technical, economical) and field training for technicians).
