Abstract

This research addresses an issue within the scope of the Islamic da'wah (call) methodology, namely the methodological imbalance affecting the understanding of some preachers and the general Muslim populace regarding the Hadiths on asceticism (Zuhd) and heart-softening narratives (Raqa'iq). It also examines the resultant intellectual pitfalls that have impacted Muslims' conceptualization of asceticism and their view of wealth and its role in life
